Job Description - Quality Engineer

Supplier & Product Quality Engineer // Dartford // £37,000 per annum
Are you passionate about ensuring product excellence and driving supplier performance? We’re looking for a Supplier & Product Quality Engineer to join a dynamic team and play a key role in shaping quality standards across a global supply chain. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented and proactive quality professional to support the ongoing development and implementation of a structured supplier assessment process. You will play a crucial role in conducting on-site supplier audits, managing product inspections and testing, and maintaining compliance with international standards.

Role and responsibilities:

Conduct pre-delivery inspections and performance testing at supplier sites
Develop and maintain product and supplier compliance documentation
Perform risk-based goods-in inspections and manage internal quality control processes
Lead investigations into product failures and oversee corrective/preventive actions
Collaborate on value engineering activities and drive cost-efficient product improvements
Perform on-site supplier audits covering quality, H&S, CSR, and sustainability standards

Experience and expertise:

Degree, HNC or equivalent in a technical or engineering discipline
18-24 months minimum experience in a similar quality assurance or supplier audit role
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials standards
Lead Auditor qualification (advantageous)
Familiarity with CE/UKCA certifications and product testing protocols
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Comfortable with extensive travel, both within the UK and internationally
Full UK driving licence
