Job Description - Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer – £35-40K
Based in Essex | Full-time | Permanent

Are you a Quality Engineer with a passion for precision and continuous improvement? This is an exciting opportunity to join an established manufacturer.

Your Responsibilities

As a Quality Engineer, you’ll report directly to the Quality Manager and take a hands-on role in both the maintenance and improvement of quality assurance systems. Your work will include:

Identifying and resolving quality issues, and leading continuous improvement initiatives
Supporting contract reviews to ensure customer requirements are met and flowed down effectively
Helping to design and implement an Advanced Product Quality Planning framework
Participating in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with relevant quality standards
Contributing to Lean Six Sigma projects aimed at reducing waste and process variation

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for a confident, detail-driven professional with a solid background in quality within a regulated environment.

Ideally 2+ years’ experience in a UK based precision-driven industry
Strong working knowledge of quality frameworks such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949
Comfortable using data and analysis to drive decisions and improvements
A collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and departments
