Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Buckinghamshire
Salary £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support and drive quality assurance initiatives within a dynamic, high-mix manufacturing and distribution environment. This role requires a strong background in inspection processes and offers an opportunity to lead a small team of quality inspectors. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to continuous improvement, a solid understanding of quality standards, and the leadership skills to foster a high-performing inspection team.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and improve daily incoming and outgoing product inspection processes.
Lead and mentor a small team of quality inspectors, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective actions for quality issues, both internal and supplier related.
Implement and maintain quality documentation, including inspection criteria, control plans, and work instructions.
Collaborate closely with purchasing, engineering, and logistics teams to resolve quality concerns and ensure customer requirements are met.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field preferred.
3+ years in a quality engineering role, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
Strong experience with visual and dimensional inspection methods, tools, and techniques.
Proven ability to lead small teams effectively, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, AS9100, TS16949
Experience with PPAP, FMEA, FAIR, and SPC.
