Quality Engineer – NPI
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Are you an experienced Quality Engineer with a background in manufacturing and a strong understanding of NPI, PPAP, and APQP processes? Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Quality Engineer to join their growing team.
About the Role:
As the Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality from design to delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and supply chain to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards through APQP and PPAP documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead quality activities during NPI to ensure successful launch of new products
• Develop and maintain PPAP submissions in line with customer requirements
• Drive APQP processes and ensure all quality deliverables are completed
• Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Liaise with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters
• Support internal and external audits and maintain ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of NPI, PPAP, APQP, and quality tools (FMEA, Control Plans, etc.)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of ISO 9001 and ideally IATF 16949 standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality systems
