Quality Engineer

We're recruiting a Quality Engineer for a hands-on role within a certified manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for someone with a strong eye for detail who enjoys working cross-functionally to ensure quality is upheld across internal processes, supplier relationships, and customer expectations.

You'll play a key role in maintaining ISO standards, conducting audits, performing inspections, and driving continuous improvement across the business.

• Support and maintain ISO 9001 and AS9120 certification procedures.
• Assist with customer and supplier audits - from preparation through to follow-up.
• Conduct quality checks on materials, production, and finished goods.
• Investigate and report non-conformances, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation and records.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams (production, purchasing, etc.) to meet quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations.
• Ensure compliance with CECC/BS, ISO, and customer-specific standards.

• Experience in quality assurance/engineering within electronics, manufacturing, or other regulated sectors.
• Solid understanding of ISO 9001, AS9120, and related systems.
• Confident using inspection tools and working with technical documentation.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Organised, analytical, and comfortable resolving quality issues methodically.
• Familiarity with CECC, BS, or UK defence standards is a plus.
