Job Description - Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer – Sunbury | Up to £45,000 | Full-Time, On-Site

Are you an experienced Quality Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? Our client, a leading engineering company based in Sunbury, is seeking a skilled and proactive professional to join their high-performing team.

In this crucial role, you'll ensure that products, services, and business activities consistently meet or exceed industry and customer expectations. You'll be a key figure in maintaining and enhancing the company’s Quality Management System, supporting compliance and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain company-wide accreditations to ISO9001 and IEC 80079-34 across all relevant departments.

  • Act as the primary contact for external auditors and inspection bodies during audits.

  • Analyse Improvement Reports, non-conformances, and corrective/preventative actions; report findings at Management Reviews.

  • Schedule, manage, and conduct Internal Quality Audits in coordination with the Quality Team.

  • Lead the implementation of corrective and preventative actions, ensuring proper documentation of all changes.

  • Investigate and contain non-conformances, working closely with relevant teams to drive resolution.

  • Support ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, promoting a culture of quality and innovation.

  • Manage, audit, and enhance 5S workplace organisation practices.

Requirements:
  • Engineering qualification or equivalent experience

  • ISO9001 Internal Auditor certification

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar quality-focused role

  • Background in electro-mechanical or mechanical engineering

  • Experience with ATEX/IECEx standards is desirable, or experience working with regulated products/sectors
