We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. Working as part of the Quality team, you will help ensure products, processes and systems comply with quality standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional who can work independently, build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to maintaining an effective Quality Management System.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS). Carry out quality assurance activities in line with company procedures and industry standards. Conduct internal audits and support external certification activities. Investigate non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions. Analyse quality data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement. Produce clear reports, presentations and quality documentation. Build effective working relationships across multiple business functions. Support supplier and operational quality improvement initiatives where required. Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements. Contribute to achieving team and business quality objectives.
Skills & Experience
Experience working within a quality engineering or quality assurance role in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and quality assurance processes. Experience conducting internal audits and managing quality investigations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis techniques such as 5 Whys, Fishbone and Six Sigma tools. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. The ability to interpret technical specifications, procedures and customer requirements. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge
ISO 9001 and/or AS/EN9100 Quality Management Systems. Business management systems and operational assurance processes. Product safety and continuous improvement methodologies. Cross-functional working within engineering or manufacturing environments. Export control requirements (where applicable).
Qualifications
HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering or technical discipline is desirable. Equivalent experience within Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance will also be considered Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
