Quality Engineer (Automotive / Manufacturing)
Weston-super-Mare | £45,000 - £48,000 DOE | Permanent | Every Other Friday Off

Bam Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting for a Quality Engineer on behalf of a well-established automotive manufacturing business based in Weston-super-Mare.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking Quality team, supporting production and ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

What's on Offer:

* Salary £45,000 - £48,000 (depending on experience)

* Permanent, full-time position

* Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

* Every other Friday off

The Role:

* Support the QHSE Compliance Manager in maintaining IATF16949, ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards.

* Investigate quality concerns and complete customer reports using 8D methodology.

* Provide hands-on quality support to production teams.

* Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions.

* Maintain quality documentation and inspection records.

* Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across quality processes.

About You:

* Previous experience in a Quality Engineer or Manufacturing Quality role.

* Background within Automotive, Aerospace or another regulated manufacturing environment.

* Strong knowledge of quality tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans and 8D.

* Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T and inspection techniques (CMM experience desirable).

* Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.

* IATF16949 Lead Auditor training would be advantageous but is not essential.
