Quality Engineering Assistant Corby Hours - Monday to Friday full time Salary circa £40k
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineering Assistant to support a busy Quality Engineering function within a precision manufacturing environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong quality, engineering, or manufacturing background to develop their career within a highly regulated and standards-driven industry.
You will work closely with an experienced Quality Engineer, supporting quality systems, audit activities, compliance requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives across production and customer-facing processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support the maintenance and development of the Quality Management System (QMS) Assist with internal and external audits (ISO 9001 / AS9100 / automotive standards) Maintain accurate quality records, documentation, and compliance data Support investigation of non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis Contribute to corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Assist with customer quality queries and preparation of reports Support supplier quality communication where required Help monitor product quality throughout production processes Assist in quality performance reporting and KPI tracking Support adherence to health & safety requirements (IOSH-aligned standards) Use IT systems to manage documentation and quality dataPERSON SPECIFICATION Essential HNC / HND / Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or related discipline Understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, or automotive quality standards Strong communication and customer-facing skills Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking IOSH Health & Safety certificate (or willingness to work towards) Ability to work independently and within a teamDesirable Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment Exposure to internal auditing or quality systems Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (e.g. 5 Whys, Fishbone) Experience using ERP or quality management systemsSKILLS & ATTRIBUTES Quality-focused mindset Strong problem-solving ability Organised and methodical approach Confident communicator at all levels Continuous improvement mindset Ability to work in a fast-paced production environmentIf interested, please apply here for immediate consideration Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
