Job Description - Quality Inspector

Quality Inspector required to join a well-established precision engineering company that specialise in making components for the medical, aerospace, surveillance and automotive sectors based in the Sevenoaks area.

Quality Inspector Job Overview
  • Perform first-off, in-process, and final inspections of precision components.
  • Use CMMs, micrometers, verniers, height gauges, and other precision measurement tools.
  • Interpret and inspect parts to engineering drawings, GD&T standards, and customer specifications.
  • Document and report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Support the implementation of ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485 quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and support traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Assist in the calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve quality processes and reduce defects.
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.
Quality Inspector Job Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a precision engineering or CNC machining environment.
  • Strong understanding of metrology, GD&T, and inspection techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with CMM programming (e.g., Mitutoyo, Zeiss, or similar) is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 13485 quality systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP/QMS software is a plus.
Quality Inspector Salary & Benefits
  • Full time - Permanent position
  • Monday to Friday - 40 hours
  • Salary - £30,000 to £32,000 (DEO)
  • Competitive holiday allowance
  • Pension
