We're Hiring: Quality Inspector

Location: Banbridge, Co. Down

Hours: Mon–Thurs 7:30am–5:00pm | Fri 7:30am–3:00pm

Salary: 32 per annum

About the Role

Reed Industrial are recruiting for a Quality Inspector to join our client’s dynamic team in Banbridge. In this role, you’ll ensure that all mechanical and electrical (M&E) fabricated products meet the highest standards through rigorous inspections, testing, and reporting.

You’ll play a key role in:

• Conducting stage inspections and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
• Overseeing paint inspections, modular fit-outs, and plantroom installations
• Validating torque records and supporting internal/external audits
• Maintaining full traceability via our electronic quality system

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify products against approved drawings and specifications
• Monitor production processes and recommend improvements
• Conduct detailed inspections, measurements, and testing
• Document non-conformities and assist with corrective actions
• Compile inspection reports and compliance documentation
• Support audits and present quality data during reviews
• Promote health & safety and continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including Maths and English
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar M&E or manufacturing role
• Strong technical and mathematical skills
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Excellent communication and reporting skills

Desirable:

• Experience in weld inspection
• Familiarity with torque testing and recording
• Certification in quality control
• Understanding of electrical/mechanical schematics
