The Role
As a Quality Inspector, you'll play a key role in ensuring products consistently meet customer specifications and the company's high standards of quality. Working within an ISO 9001 quality management environment, you'll support production by carrying out inspections, maintaining quality records and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct first-off, in-process and final inspections of components and finished products.
Complete FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports) and maintain accurate quality documentation.
Operate and, ideally, programme CMM equipment.
Inspect components using a range of measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, calipers and other precision measuring instruments.
Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles during inspection.
Identify and report non-conforming products, supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions.
Maintain inspection records to ensure full traceability.
Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What you’ll bring to the role
Experience within a quality inspection role in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
CMM operating experience (programming experience would be advantageous).
A good understanding of GD&T.
Experience completing first-off, last-off inspections and FAIR documentation.
The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Experience using precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers and gauges.
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
