My client is a well-established precision engineering business based in Bristol, supplying high-quality components into demanding industries where accuracy and quality are critical.
They are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team, working within a busy manufacturing environment and ensuring components meet the required drawings, specifications and quality standards.
The role will involve inspecting precision-machined components throughout the manufacturing process, carrying out final inspection and completing the necessary quality documentation.
Responsibilities include:
Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspection of precision-engineered components Inspecting components against engineering drawings, specifications and customer requirements Using a range of conventional inspection equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges and height gauges Using more advanced inspection equipment where required Identifying and reporting non-conforming parts Completing inspection reports and maintaining accurate quality records Supporting FAIR and other quality documentation Working closely with CNC machinists and the wider production team to resolve quality issues Ensuring all work is completed to the required quality standards and tolerances Supporting continuous improvement across the manufacturing and inspection processes
Skills and experience:
Previous experience working as a Quality Inspector within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T Experience inspecting tight-tolerance machined components Competent using a range of manual inspection equipment Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to inspection Ability to identify issues and work with production teams to resolve them Good understanding of quality procedures and documentation Experience within aerospace, defence or another high-precision manufacturing environment would be advantageousThis is a good opportunity for an experienced Inspector to join an established engineering business where quality and attention to detail are genuinely important.
