Overview

EMBS Recruitment Ltd is working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer, located in Nottingham that is currently in the market for a Quality Inspector to join their company on a Permanent basis.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform first-part, in-process, and final inspection of components using precision hand measuring tools and gauges (calipers, micrometers, manual CMM, optical comparator, etc.).


• Conduct visual inspections to verify dimensions, traceability documentation, and identify defects (blemishes, cracks, voids).


• Maintain quality records and carry out incoming receiving inspections per the Quality Management System (QMS).


• Initiate NCRs, MRBs, and CARs, and request router or print corrections when necessary.


• Support problem-solving analysis and assist with internal quality audits.

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• 3+ years of inspection experience, preferably in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.


• Proficiency with hand tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.) and blueprint reading.


• Basic computer and mechanical skills.


• Strong visual attention, reasoning, and judgment.


• Basic understanding of GD&T is a plus.
