QUALITY INSPECTOR

PERMANENT OPPORTUNITY

Pay: £13.00 - £16.00 per hour

Hours: Days 10:00 – 18:00

Our client is hiring for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their busy manufacturing team in Nottingham. This is a hands‑on, shop‑floor role inspecting fabricated and manufactured components to ensure they meet customer drawings, tolerances and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Component inspection of fabricated and manufactured parts

* Checking parts against engineering drawings, tolerances and specifications

* Using inspection tools including verniers, micrometers, height gauges

* Completing first‑off, in‑process and final inspections

* Identifying and reporting non‑conforming products

* Working closely with production teams to resolve quality issues

* Completing inspection and quality documentation

* Ensuring measuring equipment is used and maintained correctly

* Supporting continuous improvement across the site

* Final inspection of completed jobs prior to despatch

* Checking quantities, paperwork and quality documentation before goods leave site

* Liaising with production and despatch teams to resolve issues before release

Skills & Experience

Essential:

* Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or Engineering Inspector

* Ability to confidently read engineering drawings

* Experience using measuring and inspection equipment

* Strong understanding of tolerances and dimensional inspection

* Excellent attention to detail

* Good communication skills and confidence to raise quality concerns

Desirable:

* Experience in laser cutting, sheet metal, fabrication, welding or precision engineering
