Job Description - Quality Inspector (m/f/d)

To strengthen our Quality Team, we are looking for a Quality Inspector to join us at our Newport Branch in South Wales, where we are looking for individuals who enjoy working as part of a close team, and are keen to deliver excellent customer service and take responsibility for what they do
MM Newport are secondary packaging manufacturers, specialising in labels for the Pharmaceutical and Beauty industry.

The quality inspector will have a keen eye for detail and an understanding of customer quality standards.

Your Role

You will be responsible in assisting the Quality Manager to ensure compliance in line with the sites Quality Management System, final batch release and the creation of Quality Assurance documentation.
You will ensure product is correctly identified and inspected to quality standards in line with procedures.
You will carry out quality checks and inspect in process samples according to documented instructions ensuring the satisfactory quality of the product prior to batch release.
You will record and communicate all quality issues to the relevant Supervisors/Management Team.
You will ensure work is completed in a timely manner to meet all Customer and Quality Manager’s required target dates.
You will work with the Production Departments to ensure that all quality procedures are followed and finished product meet the Customer’s specification requirements.
You will participate in company quality programs e.g., Internal Audits, Calibration, QA Action Sheets etc.

Your Profile

You will be an effective communicator
You will be self-motivated, show initiative and have the ability to multi task
You will have a confident attitude with the ability to deal with staff at all levels
You will have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
You must be computer literate with knowledge of Word and Excel
You have excellent attention to detail
You have experience of working to Quality Standards
You will have previous Experience working within a Print/Packaging background/manufacturing environment

Hours of work: This is a double day shift position working 37.5 hours per week on site Mornings and Afternoons, you will receive a 20% shift allowance for this.
