Michael Page Engineering & Manufacturing are working in partnership with a highly successful global business who have a site based in Leeds. They work tirelessly to manufacture a brilliant range of engineered products for a range of customers across the UK and internationally.

Due to an internal promotion, they are looking for a Quality Manager with experience in QMS systems and ISO9001 auditing to continue driving the business forward.

Description

The Quality Manager will manage a small team of 3 skilled professionals, and will have full responsibility for the quality management system, ISO9001 accreditation and quality standards across the facility.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Leading the quality strategy, system, tools and teams with an aim of exceeding customer expectations whilst ensuring sustainable manufacturing operations.
• Using CI, route cause analysis, failure mode analysis, prevention methods and robust action plans to drive the quality system forward.
• Liaising with peers in other departments, influencing and consulting the management team, and driving the development of the quality standards to aid overall business performance.
• Working from design and product development to customer delivery to ensure a good quality product lifecycle.

Profile

The successful Quality Manager will have:

• Proven background in a quality management role in a manufacturing setting, ideally engineered products.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 standards and lead auditor certification.
• Experience managing a QMS system within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong customer focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills with experience of managing a team.
• Ideally knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma methodology, or similar.
