Job Description - Quality Manager

An innovative, UK-based space company is looking to appoint a Quality Manager to lead its growing Quality team. This role ensures compliance with AS9100 and export controls while supporting cutting-edge space projects in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Reporting to the Head of Quality, you will manage Quality Assurance and Product Assurance teams across two sites, driving excellence in processes, products, and supplier quality.

Quality Manager
Key Responsibilities

Manage Quality Engineers, Inspectors, and Product Assurance staff, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (AS9100), ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Lead root cause analysis, non-conformance resolution, and risk mitigation across projects.
Monitor and audit external suppliers to uphold company standards.
Conduct internal audits, manage CAPAs, and serve as the primary contact for external audits.

Quality Manager
Requirements

Degree in Engineering or related field.
CQI Level 5+ QA qualification (Desirable).
Proven experience in a senior Quality role, preferably in aerospace, defence, or high-precision manufacturing.
Proven people management experience
Expertise in AS9100, QMS implementation, and product assurance.
