Job Description - Quality Manager

Albert Bartlett is a market leader in the potato industry, providing high-quality fresh, chilled, and frozen potato products since 1948. We are dedicated to sustainability, innovation, and excellence in every aspect of our business. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a committed and experienced Quality Manager to join our team and uphold our standards of quality assurance across all production lines.

The Quality Manager will play a critical role in ensuring our products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations and comply with all relevant regulations. This position requires a strong leader who can foster a culture of quality throughout the organization, implementing processes and standards that guarantee exceptional product quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the quality assurance and quality control teams, providing direction, support, and professional development.
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work closely with production management to ensure quality is maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Establish and track key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor compliance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including suppliers and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment and adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and deliver quality-related training programs for all staff to promote a quality-focused culture.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring that the company adapts and remains compliant.

Working hours- Monday-Friday- Dayshift

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a Quality Manager or similar role within the food production or FMCG sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HACCP, BRC).
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
