Our client is an established advanced manufacturing business supplying aerospace, defence and advanced engineering customers. With a growing order book and long-standing customer relationships, they are seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality systems development, AS9100 accreditation activities and business-wide continuous improvement initiatives. This is a predominantly Quality Management role with ownership of Health & Safety systems. With H&S already well embedded throughout the business, the focus is on maintaining frameworks, updating policies and supporting operational managers rather than daily frontline H&S management. Key Projects First 6 Months · Lead internal audits ahead of final AS9100 accreditation. · Roll out APQP across the business. · Take ownership of FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports). · Manage NCRs, concessions, CAPA and customer quality activities. · Support and mentor the Quality Technician. · Refine quality processes and strengthen the Quality Management System. 6-12 Months · Fully embed AS9100 and APQP. · Support NADCAP accreditation activities. · Support future defence supply chain accreditation programmes. · Continue developing quality culture and continuous improvement. Experience Required · Quality Manager, Senior Quality Engineer or Lead Quality Engineer background. · AS9100 and ISO 9001 experience. · Audit leadership experience. · FAIRs, NCRs, concessions, CAPA, 8D and root cause investigations. · Aerospace, defence, automotive or regulated manufacturing experience. · Quality systems development and continuous improvement experience.
