Quality Manager - ISO17025

Working on the development and manufacture of mechanical systems and devices, we are seeking an experienced Quality Leader with experience across ISO17025 and maintaining UKAS accreditation within Mechanical contract testing; the role will lead on Quality testing standards for the laboratory

Key Responsibilities

• Lead for ISO 17025 compliance across all laboratory mechanical test activities.
• Maintenance of laboratory accreditation standards and management of quality assurance processes.
• Work directly with department leadership as part of the management team
• Conduct regular audits and manage quality control issues
• Collaborate with test engineers and team leads to ensure adherence to standards
• Oversee quality standards for test activities and internal calibration processes
• Delivery of complex environmental testing

Required Experience

• Strong lead experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Management
• Experience managing ISO17025 laboratory standards
• Knowledge of Environmental Testing and/or Calibration processes
• Practical experience managing quality processes, particularly non-conformance management.
• Experience liaising with accreditation bodies such as UKAS.
• Strong ability to write and review technical documentation and processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A familiarity with environmental engineering standards would be an added advantage.

This role is not a people manager position, but a matrix lead overseeing Quality processes.
