Salary: £29,300 per annum + Excellent Benefits!
Hours: 40 per week, Monday – Friday

We are now recruiting for a Quality Officer to assume responsibility for the everyday operation and documentation of quality and compliance within Broughton.
Reporting to the Senior Quality Manager, you'll play an important part in the day-to-day operation of Broughton's Quality Management System (QMS).
You'll work closely with Laboratory Services, Consultancy, Regulatory, Project Management and Support Services, helping to make sure work is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with the relevant quality and regulatory requirements.
As our Quality Officer you will be responsible for:
* Managing assigned QMS processes and maintaining accurate, up-to-date quality records.
* Reviewing and approving documentation including release records, non-conformances, validation records, protocols and reports.
* Supporting internal inspections, client audits and regulatory audits, including preparation and follow-up activities.
* Logging and reviewing quality events such as deviations, non-conformances, OOS/OOT results, complaints, equipment failures and CAPAs.
* Reviewing technical documentation including test methods, SOPs, validation reports and method development documentation.
* Conducting internal audits in line with agreed schedules and procedures.
* Supporting supplier approval, subcontractor management and vendor assessments.
* Assisting with investigations and root cause analysis using established quality tools and techniques.
* Coordinating and tracking CAPA activity to ensure actions are completed on time.
* Supporting continuous improvement projects across the QMS.
* Helping colleagues understand and follow quality processes, including providing training and ongoing support.
* Promoting a strong quality culture and a right-first-time approach across the business.
As your knowledge and experience grow, you'll also have the opportunity to become a Subject Matter Expert within particular areas of Quality, such as supplier approval, change control, validation or documentation.
About you
You'll be a graduate or hold a relevant qualification in a scientific or vocational discipline, with a genuine interest in developing a career in Quality.
For this level, Broughton is looking for someone with:
* At least one year's laboratory experience.
* A high standard of written and spoken English.
* Knowledge of relevant quality standards or regulations, such as GxP or ISO.
* Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues across different teams.
* Excellent organisation and the ability to manage your own workload and deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good technical writing skills and the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback.
* A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of your work.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of quality improvement practices such as Lean, Six Sigma, TQM or QbD would be useful, as would experience of root cause analysis techniques such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa/Fishbone, Pareto analysis or control charts.
Experience reviewing regulated technical documentation, validation activities, chromatographic data systems or statistical software would also be advantageous.
