Quality Operative
Location: Haverhill
Pay: £16.83 per hour
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, Weekly Pay
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well established family run joinery company that has been trading for over 100 years. They are looking for a Quality Operative to join their production team, ensuring finished wooden products meet the high standards their customers have come to expect.
This is a hands on role where you will inspect completed products, identify any imperfections, and carry out minor remedial work where required to achieve a high quality finish.
What You'll Do
• Inspect finished wooden products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Identify defects, imperfections, or damage before products leave the factory
• Carry out minor repairs, sanding, filling, or finishing work where required
• Work closely with the production team to resolve quality issues
• Ensure products meet customer specifications
• Maintain accurate quality records where required
• Keep your work area clean, organised, and safe
• Follow all health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
• A good eye for detail and pride in producing high quality work
• Previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, joinery, woodworking, or production would be beneficial
• Comfortable using hand tools and carrying out minor finishing work
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• A practical approach with a willingness to get involved where needed
