Quality Specialist

Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Quality Specialist on a 6 month contract based In the West Midlands.

Role Summary

Quality is more than inspection—it is how we build confidence into every product we manufacture.

The Production Quality Manager leads all production quality activities across manufacturing, ensuring products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements. The role is responsible for driving product conformity, inspection effectiveness, operational governance, customer confidence, and continuous improvement while developing a high-performing quality organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership of the Production Quality function.

* Lead, coach and develop:

* Quality Engineers

* Production Inspection teams

* Receiving Inspection teams

* Apprentices and Graduates

* Build a high-performance culture focused on:

* Accountability

* Coaching

* Continuous improvement

* Develop team capability through objective setting, performance management and development planning.

* Ensure appropriate quality resource planning across manufacturing.

Requirements

Essential

Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or equivalent experience.

Proven leadership experience within manufacturing quality.

* Strong knowledge of:

* ISO 9001

* Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

* CAPA

* Lean Manufacturing

* KPI management

* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

* Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.

Desirable

Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.

* Experience within:

* Heavy Engineering

* Rotating Electrical Machines

* Aerospace

* Defence

* Power Generation

* Experience with SAP.

* Experience developing digital dashboards and quality reporting systems.
