Job Description - Quality Technician

Quality Technician

Stonehouse, Gloucestershire

Up to £30,000 + benefits (Negotiable dependent on Experience)
38 hours per week | Monday to Thursday, 06:30 - 16:00

Are you an early-career Production/Manufacturing Operative or Quality Engineer looking to take the next step in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment?

We're working with a well-established, precision-focused engineering business specialising in electrical assemblies and soldering processes. Due to continued growth, they're looking to bring in a Quality Engineer who can support day-to-day quality activities while helping drive improvements across the quality management system.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 1-2 years' experience who wants real responsibility and exposure across customer quality, internal processes, and continuous improvement.

The Role

This is a varied, hands-on position where you'll be involved across all aspects of quality, including:

Supporting and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS)
Investigating and resolving customer quality issues and complaints
Performing root cause analysis (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys) and implementing corrective actions
Conducting internal audits and supporting external audits
Working closely with production teams to drive quality improvements on the shop floor
Assisting with inspection processes and ensuring product compliance
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing

What We're Looking For

Around 1-2 years' experience in a Quality / QA / QE role in manufacturing
Ideally some exposure to electrical, electronics, or precision assembly environments
Knowledge of quality tools (e.g. RCA, CAPA, audits)
Comfortable working both hands-on on the shop floor and on quality systems
A proactive mindset with a desire to learn and progress
Strong communication skills for working across teams and with customers
