Job Description - Quantity Surveyor

Location: South Coast
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

They pride themselves on delivering high-quality projects that typically range in value from £1 million to £7 million. Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of their projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage project estimates, cost plans, and financial reports.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage procurement, contracts, and payments.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular financial updates to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to achieve project goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the water industry or civil engineering sector.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project financials.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the water industry.
  • Familiarity with civil engineering projects.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new industry-specific knowledge.
