We are a privately owned Building Consultancy providing comprehensive professional services exclusively for the education sector. Due to ongoing success and growth, we are looking to grow the professional Surveying and Project Management team by recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to manage the financial aspects of refurbishment and new build projects. At present, projects are exclusively within the education sector and in future will likely include other sectors including health care, retail and hospitality.

Your new role

As the Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for cost management throughout the life cycle of the project, which will include managing budgets and cost plans, through to preparing valuations, cost reports and final accounts. You will work closely with clients providing expert advice on cost-related matters, whilst ensuring client objectives are met.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful for this role, you will have an RICS accredited Quantity Surveying degree and have gained experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on commercial projects. Experience working with education projects is preferred. You'll be motivated with a positive attitude and enjoy working with others. Sometimes you will be based on site, sometimes from the office and always seeking to be forward-thinking. A driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential and you will be required to live within a commutable distance of Billericay.
