Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: East London
Salary: £42,000 - £55,000 + Excellent Package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a major upgrade programme which aims to improve the reliability and capacity of one of the capitals largest water management sites. The Quantity Surveyor will quickly become a key player within on the site based team, taking responsibility for their own portfolio of subcontract packages on the project.

The Quantity Surveyor's main responsibilities will include:

• Sub-contract management using the NEC suite of contracts
• Supporting the Senior QS with change control and early warnings
• Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and performance management
• Cost forecasting, CVRs, and reporting to senior commercial and project leadership
• Supporting junior staff and driving best practice across the team
• Engaging with the clients team and operational teams to ensure effective project delivery

About You

• Previous experience working as a main contractors QS with a background in civil engineering or infrastructure works is essential for this role
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts
• Strong communication skills
• A willingness to learn and develop your career
