Job Title: Quantity Surveyor / Junior Commercial Manager
Location: Castleford, West Yorkshire
Job Type: Full-Time | Flexible Working | 1 Day Remote

Are you a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a motivated QS or Junior Commercial Manager with around 5 years of experience to join a fast-paced, design-led business delivering bespoke signage and fit-out solutions across the UK.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in niche manufacturing, shopfitting, or within a specialist/main contractor setting. You’ll work closely with project managers and production teams to manage and optimise project finances from inception through to final account, playing a vital part in the business’s continued commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit valuations and applications for payment
• Monitor and manage project costs across multiple contracts
• Support and lead estimating and tendering activities
• Liaise with internal teams to report and forecast financial performance
• Prepare cost/value reconciliations and commercial reports
• Negotiate variations and ensure timely agreement of accounts
• Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and tools
• Ensure compliance with contracts and internal policies

About you:

• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline
• Circa 5 years of experience in a QS or commercial role
• Background in specialist trades, shopfitting, manufacturing, or main contracting
• Strong understanding of estimating, financial controls, and construction contracts
• Proficient in Excel and commercial reporting tools
• Excellent communicator and team player with attention to detail
