Quantity Surveyor

An established and well-regarded Chartered Quantity Surveying consultancy is seeking a driven Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team in York.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking for flexibility, strong career development, and involvement in a wide variety of interesting projects.

The Quantity Surveyor Role

The successful Quantity Surveyor will join a close-knit team, working closely with the Managing Director and senior colleagues on projects ranging from £250k to £20m. The role offers a mix of pre and post-contract responsibilities across a diverse portfolio including:

• Hospitality (bars, pubs, restaurants)
• Retail (shop fit-outs)
• Industrial (warehouses and distribution centres)
• Private residential developments
• Office (new build and fit-out)
• Education (private and further education)

The consultancy has built a strong reputation for delivering repeat business with long-standing clients and offers a flexible hybrid working model, making this a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor seeking more autonomy in their role.

This position also offers a clear path for progression, with structured support towards Senior Quantity Surveyor level and beyond.

The Quantity Surveyor - Requirements

• RICS Accredited degree (ideally BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or relevant field)
• Previous Quantity Surveying experience in a UK Consultancy / PQS firm
• Good knowledge of pre & post contract duties
• MRICS or currently working towards / committed to achieving (support available)
• Confident & client facing
