Russell Taylor Group are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to start immediately in the Eastbourne area, at the Head Office. Our client have grown and diversified significantly, now offering multiple Commercial and Private services throughout the Home Counties. Their business is based on quality and this has built their reputation.

Responsibilities:

Generating Applications for Payment (Valuations).
Pricing Variations & additional work.
Checking fortnightly Sub-Contractor labour invoices & issuing of Payment Notices. Liaising with Sub-Contractors regards claims for additional works. Logging payments made.
Assisting with the checking of Sub-Contracts & all associated Numbered Documents.
Attending Pre-Contract Meetings with our perspective clients. Negotiating terms.
Quantifying work using our onscreen measuring software.
Liaising with our Project Managers & visiting our live projects. Providing support to our delivery teams.
Upon award of a new contract, creating Project Budgets; including labour, materials & Preliminaries predicted spend. Re-tendering of materials with our network of Suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency. Driving down costs generally to maximise margins. Producing labour Target Sheets' or White Cards'.
Updating Budgets regularly, providing our Board with real time project financial reports.

Terms (subject to negotiation):

Full Time Monday to Friday, 08.00 17.00.
Based at our Eastbourne offices. Occasional working from home is open to discussion.
Salary ranging from £40k to £60k per annum, dependant on experience and capability.
Statutory holiday and bank holidays entitlement (currently 28 days per annum).
Company vehicle subject to negotiation of overall package.
Private healthcare subject to negotiation of overall package.
