Quantity Surveyor – Utilities & Infrastructure

An established infrastructure contractor is looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to its growing commercial team in the North West.

Working across a portfolio of utilities and infrastructure projects, you'll take commercial responsibility for projects from initial procurement through delivery and final account.

The Role

You'll work closely with operational and project teams to ensure projects are delivered commercially, contractually and financially.

Key responsibilities will include:

Commercial management of utilities and civil engineering projects

Preparing valuations, applications for payment and cost reports

*

Managing subcontractor accounts and payments

*

Monitoring project costs, forecasts and commercial performance

*

Identifying and managing variations and compensation events

*

Supporting procurement and subcontractor negotiations

*

Working with NEC contracts

*

Managing projects through to final account

*

Building strong relationships with clients and operational teams

What We're Looking For

You'll ideally have:

Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure

*

Good commercial and contractual knowledge

*

Experience working with NEC contracts

*

Strong cost management and forecasting skills

*

Confidence dealing with clients, subcontractors and project teams

Experience across water, wastewater, power, gas, telecoms or wider utilities infrastructure would be particularly relevant.

This would suit a commercially switched-on QS looking to join a growing contractor with a strong pipeline of infrastructure work across the North West
