My client in the Bristol area require an experienced Quantity Surveyor.

Role Overview

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take full ownership of commercial work streams shaping financial accuracy, driving profitability, and championing continual operational improvements.

This hands-on, people-focused role is ideal for a professional looking to see the tangible impact of their commercial expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Manage valuations, variations, and applications for payment across live packages.
Lead commercial reporting, financial forecasting, and Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
Support procurement activities, tendering, and subcontractor account management.
Maintain rigorous cost control and ensure precision across all commercial processes.
Confidently represent the business with key clients and external project stakeholders.

What We Are Looking For

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within structural steelwork or main contracting.
Strong commercial awareness and sharp analytical capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to build working relationships with clients and operational teams.
A proactive mindset focused on driving commercial efficiency.

Your Career Path (First 12 Months)

1 Month: Dive into active projects, visit sites, analyze project data, and understand the workflow from fabrication through to installation.
3 Months: Lead your own commercial workstreams, facilitate client meetings, and build strong internal credibility.
6 Months: Independently manage the commercial lifecycle of major work packages and implement process enhancements.
12 Months: Serve as a key commercial lead, directly influencing financial strategy and supporting business growth.
