Job Description - Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering & Water
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join a highly successful civil engineering and infrastructure contractor based in Hemel Hempstead.

The Role
Reporting into the Commercial Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to final account.
Key responsibilities will include:
• Preparation and management of subcontract packages • Contract administration and commercial reporting • Cost forecasting and budget management • Management of change, compensation events and variations • Valuations, applications for payment and final accounts • Subcontractor management and account reconciliation • Supporting project teams to maximise commercial performance • Ensuring projects are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations
Requirements
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline • Strong understanding and practical experience working under NEC forms of contract • Previous experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities projects • Water sector experience is highly desirable • Strong commercial acumen and communication skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
