The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for an opportunity to take ownership of your projects and make a genuine commercial impact?
HLP Consulting is working with an established construction contractor seeking a commercially astute and proactive Quantity Surveyor to join its team.
This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys managing the commercial aspects of construction projects, building relationships and ensuring projects are delivered profitably.
Key Responsibilities
*
Take commercial responsibility for projects from procurement through to final account.
*
Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering and negotiations.
*
Prepare and maintain accurate cost value reconciliations (CVRs).
*
Monitor project costs, budgets, variations and commercial performance.
*
Prepare valuations and manage subcontractor payments.
*
Identify and manage commercial risks.
*
Negotiate and agree final accounts.
*
Work closely with project managers, site teams and senior management.
About You
*
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
*
Strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills.
*
Experience managing subcontractor packages and project costs.
*
A good understanding of construction contracts.
*
Confident preparing CVRs and agreeing final accounts.
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
*
Able to work independently and take ownership of commercial responsibilities.
