Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our talented team and contribute to our continued success.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the financial and commercial management of our construction projects. You will be responsible for cost control, procurement, and ensuring project profitability while maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors. This long-term freelance position is based in our Bromley office, with occasional site visits as required.

• Prepare and manage accurate cost reports, including cost and cash flow forecasting.
• Oversee procurement processes, including tendering, analysis, and contract negotiations.
• Monitor project budgets and implement effective cost control measures.
• Manage variations and assess changes to ensure financial targets are achieved.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Prepare bills of quantities and tender documents in collaboration with architects and clients.
• Provide regular financial reporting and updates to senior management.

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost reporting, and change management.
• Experience in groundworks within residential, commercial, or refurbishment projects is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work independently as a freelancer with a commitment to long-term engagement.
