An established and growing façade specialist is looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team.

The business operates across two core areas: delivering complex new-build façade packages for Tier 1 Main Contractors, alongside recladding and façade remediation projects where they operate as Principal Contractor.

With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued plans for growth, this is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS to take ownership of projects and play an important role in the continued development of the business.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for a portfolio of façade and cladding projects, working closely with the operational, design and pre-construction teams from initial handover through to final account.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Full commercial management of façade, cladding and remediation projects

* Managing projects from pre-construction and contract award through to completion and final account

* Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts and cost reports

* Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors and suppliers

* Preparing, submitting and agreeing interim valuations and applications for payment

* Managing variations, change control and contractual entitlements

* Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities

* Reviewing contract terms and ensuring commercial obligations are understood and managed

* Preparing subcontract orders and managing subcontractor accounts

* Monitoring project costs, cash flow and profitability

* Working closely with Project Managers, Design Managers and the wider delivery team

* Attending client and commercial meetings

* Building strong commercial relationships with Tier 1 Main Contractors, clients and supply-chain partners

* Managing project close-out and negotiating final accounts

* Providing accurate commercial reporting to the Director and senior management team

Experience Required

The successful candidate will ideally have a strong background within the façade, cladding, building-envelope or specialist subcontracting sector.

Experience commercially managing packages such as rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, SFS, windows and associated external envelope works would be particularly relevant.

You should have experience working with Main Contractors and be confident managing the commercial relationship on technically complex projects.

Previous exposure to recladding, façade remediation or Principal Contractor projects would also be highly advantageous.

The role would suit someone who is commercially sharp, confident with contracts and variations, and capable of taking genuine ownership of projects rather than simply providing commercial support.
