Quantity Surveyor - NEC

A contract opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to support a Tier One Consultancy with ongoing commercial management services to their client, Network Rail. Specifically, you will be supporting the Route Services Commercial and Procurement team. 

The position will be based in an office in Birmingham for 3 days a week, with the other 2 days working from home. 

The assignment will be for 9 months duration, with potential extension, and the day rate is £355 per day INSIDE IR35

On a day to day basis, you will:
Manage contract administrative controls and monitoring requirements (using Oracle)
Support internal and external assurance and governance requirements for extensions, variations and novation of contracts
Support regulatory requirements associated with managing contracts, to ensure compliance with legislation
Support on contractual issues and negotiations
Complete audits of supplier obligations to ensure they're being carried out in accordance with contractual requirements
To be successful in this assignment, it is essential that you:
Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying 
Have previous experience in working on Network Rail project, ideally in a client side role
Have demonstrable experience in using Oracle and in administering NEC3/NEC4 contracts
