Overview We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to provide commercial and quantity surveying services across a portfolio of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional with strong cost management, contract administration, and stakeholder engagement experience. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain project cost plans, forecasts, cash flow projections, and commercial reporting. Manage subcontractor, supplier, and material costs throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs), schedules of rates, specifications, and supporting commercial documentation. Undertake quantity take-offs, site measurements, and valuations of completed works. Assess and manage variations, compensation events, and change control processes. Prepare and support interim applications, progress claims, and final accounts. Review and certify subcontractor and supplier payment applications. Deliver commercial reporting, cost analysis, forecasting, and performance monitoring. Support procurement activities, tender evaluations, and supply chain management. Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing cost-saving initiatives where possible. Liaise effectively with project managers, contractors, consultants, designers, and suppliers. Produce key commercial deliverables and management information to support successful project delivery.Ideal Experience Proven Quantity Surveying and/or Commercial Management experience within engineering, infrastructure, construction, or energy projects. Strong understanding of cost control, contract administration, valuations, and final accounts. Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain commercial activities. Excellent stakeholder management and reporting skills. Ability to operate autonomously and provide independent commercial advice.Contract Details 6-month initial engagement with potential for extension. Outside IR35. Norwich-based with 3 days per week onsite. Expenses covered.
