QUANTITY SURVEYOR / SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR – HOUSING

Location: Nottinghamshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading residential developer delivering a major multi-tenure housing scheme within Nottinghamshire.

This role would suit an ambitious commercial professional who thrives within a fast-paced housebuilding environment and is comfortable managing large-scale developments from a commercial perspective.

The Role

Working as part of an established commercial team, you will take responsibility for the commercial performance of a significant residential development comprising a mix of private sale, affordable housing and partnership-led housing products.

Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial responsibility for a major residential development
• Management of subcontract procurement and package buyout
• Preparation of monthly CVRs, forecasts and cost reports
• Subcontractor account management and final accounts
• Commercial risk and opportunity management
• Budget control and cash flow forecasting
• Liaison with operational, technical and land teams
• Supporting the successful delivery of programme and profitability targets
• Mentoring and supporting junior commercial staff where required

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within residential development
• Experience delivering large-scale housing projects
• Multi-tenure housing experience highly desirable
• Strong understanding of subcontract procurement and package management
• Excellent commercial reporting and forecasting ability
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment
• Relevant Quantity Surveying qualification preferred
