Radiology Services Manager

Our client is the leading and longest-established private hospital and clinic in Ireland. Since it opened in the mid-1980s, the clinic has consistently built an unparalleled reputation in new high-tech surgical procedures, medical treatments, and ground-breaking diagnostics. Their planned new state-of-the-art Women’s Health Centre will combine a comprehensive range of services under one roof, in a prominent Dublin City Centre location. From expert consultations, diagnostic testing, to specialised treatments, they will support women through their healthcare journey. They are now looking for an experienced Radiology Services Manager to join their team as they open their doors to their new facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, experienced and qualified Radiographer who has a passion for motivating people and is looking to progress in their career, specifically within the area of Women’s Health.

Please note this role is based in Dublin. They are open to candidates looking to relocate to Ireland and have compensation and accommodation available.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Be a team player who motivates, supports and engages fellow colleagues in delivering clinical excellence and personal care.
• Undertake, when necessary, administrative tasks to facilitate the smooth running of the department.
• Undertake diagnostic examinations where required.
• In conjunction with the Clinical Specialist Radiographer, establish and maintain operational protocols for all diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain and manage employee attendance records on the Hospital’s Time Management System.
• Be responsible for departmental rosters and approve annual leave requests.
• Participate and lead clinical audits in order to identify areas for improvement.
• Deliver and promote the highest standards of patient care in an environment of high patient throughput.
• Lead and manage the Diagnostic Imaging Department in the absence of the Radiology Service Manager.
• Regularly update your knowledge of new developments and promote awareness of these amongst colleagues.
• Communicate appropriately with colleagues and other members of the healthcare team.
• Recognise limitations and seek assistance where necessary.
• Cooperate and take part in the Mission Statement in dealing with patients and clinic staff members.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patients and activities of the Clinic.
• Present a professional appearance and conform to the dress, hygiene and infection control policies of the clinic.

Previous Experience/Qualifications:

• BSc. in Radiography
• MSc. in Ultrasound or 7+ years’ experience as a Sonographer
• CORU registration
