Rail Foreman – London / London Underground

ISS Ltd is looking to recruit experienced Rail Foremen for ongoing regular work across a number of major rail and London Underground projects throughout London.

We are building our workforce ahead of projects starting within the next couple of months and are looking to hear from experienced Foremen who are interested in developing a regular working relationship with ISS Ltd.

The work will be across a variety of major rail and LU projects, with shifts including a mixture of midweek days and nights. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and experienced rail professionals looking for ongoing work rather than a short-term placement.

The Role

As a Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating site teams, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.

Duties may include:

Supervising rail and track-based works

*

Managing and coordinating site operatives

*

Ensuring works are completed safely and to the required standard

*

Delivering site briefings and ensuring instructions are understood

*

Monitoring productivity and progress

*

Liaising with site management and other project teams

*

Ensuring compliance with rail and London Underground safety requirements

Requirements

Applicants must have:

*

Valid PTS

*

BTA competency/training

*

Relevant experience working within rail and/or London Underground environments

*

Experience supervising rail site teams

*

A strong understanding of site safety and safe systems of work

*

Good communication and leadership skills

*

Reliability and flexibility to work both day and night shifts

BTA is required for these projects; however, ISS Ltd may be able to arrange BTA training for suitable candidates where necessary.

Self-Contained Gangs

We are also particularly interested in hearing from established, self-contained gangs.

Rates & Payment

Rates are £23.00–£25.00 per hour, dependent on the applicable shift/project.

Payment on these projects will be Umbrella PAYE only.

Work is expected to commence within the next couple of months, with ongoing opportunities available across different major rail and London Underground projects in London.
