R&D Engineer

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for an R&D Engineer on behalf of our client based in Saffron Walden on a Permanent basis.

Roles & Responsibilities

* Research and review Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) to identify new component repair capabilities.

* Extract and document technical information, including tooling requirements, test procedures, repair processes, materials and consumables.

* Complete capability application forms and submit technical information through the company's internal system.

* Identify and record relevant part numbers to ensure accurate capability submissions.

* Support the development of new repair processes, tooling solutions and test equipment.

* Provide technical support and repair guidance to production teams.

* Work alongside the R&D Manager to prioritise and manage capability development projects.

* Ensure all new repair capabilities comply with regulatory and company quality standards.

* Design, fabricate and develop tooling and test kits to support production.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications

* Background in aerospace engineering or aircraft component maintenance.

* Practical engineering experience within an aerospace environment.

* Experience with Part-145 repairs is highly desirable.

* Familiarity with Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and technical engineering documentation.

* Hands-on experience with electronics fabrication, including the ability to build test boxes.

* Strong technical analysis, research and problem-solving skills.

* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage workload independently.

* Engineering degree or equivalent relevant experience.

Hours: 40 hour week Mon - Fri
