Senior Rating Surveyor / Associate – London

A leading property consultancy is looking for an experienced MRICS Rating Surveyor to join its established and growing London Rating team.

This is a key opportunity to work with a varied client base including landlords, occupiers, investors and developers, providing specialist rating advice across a broad range of commercial property.

The Role:

* Provide rating appeal and mitigation advice to clients

* Manage and develop relationships with new and existing clients

* Advise on rating assessments, CCA appeals, empty rates and completion notices

* Negotiate appeals and provide strategic rating advice

* Work alongside wider property teams to identify and develop opportunities

* Manage your own workload, clients and deadlines

About You:

* MRICS qualified with proven Rating experience

* Strong knowledge of rating legislation and case law

* Experience providing rating advice and negotiating appeals

* Valuation Tribunal experience preferred, with Upper Tribunal experience advantageous

* Strong client management, communication and negotiation skills

* Commercially astute with an entrepreneurial approach

* Able to work autonomously and as part of a wider team

* Good IT skills and familiarity with Rating software
