Raw Material Operator

​​Reporting to the Extrusion Shift Supervisor you will work closely with the yard and extrusion operators to maintain correct & continuous supply of raw material to keep extruders running effectively, therefore the material bags should never run empty. 

​ As Raw Material Operator you will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping, ensuring spills are dealt with immediately and correctly.​ 

The ideal candidate must have good physical fitness and upper body movement as the role involves moving and lifting large bags of raw material and working in restricted spaces. Due to the nature of the role, the environment will be dusty, therefore you will be required to wear correct PPE at all times; dependent on the season the environment can also be hot. 

Furthermore: 

• You have the ability to understand and effectively communicate with other employees. 

• An understanding of the materials used within Extrusion would be advantageous. 

• The role has an element of working with our Business System NAV, therefore you would need basic IT skills and ability to work quickly and accurately when booking in/out material. 

• A forklift truck license would be desirable, although training will be given.

• You may be required to work extra hours and these would be paid at normal overtime rates.

This is a permanent role; your hours of work will be av42 per week working on the rotating continental day and night shifts. (4 on 4 off 06:00 – 1800).
