We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic RE ECT to join our school in Redbridge. You will inspire students to explore the big questions of life and develop their own spiritual understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (and potentially 5).


• Prepare students for GCSE examinations.


• Create a stimulating and reflective learning environment.


• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including discussions and debates.


• Contribute to the development of the RE curriculum.


• Participate in departmental meetings and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.


• Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject.


• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of diverse religious and philosophical perspectives.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• A passion for fostering critical thinking and respect for different viewpoints.
