Religious Education Teacher: Permanent Position, Merton

About the Role:

Our client, a reputable secondary school located in Merton, is seeking a qualified Religious Education Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from September. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced educator to contribute to a thriving RE department and inspire students with a passion for religious studies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering engaging RE lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.


• Developing and implementing creative and differentiated lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.


• Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.


• Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the RE curriculum.


• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current educational trends and developments in religious education.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.


• A degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or a related discipline.


• Demonstrated experience teaching RE at the secondary level.


• A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for RE.


• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
