Real Estate Paralegal/Senior Paralegal - Hybrid Working Location: Edinburgh Salary: £24,000 - £40,000 Contract: Full Time, Permanent About the Firm & Role: Our client is a Future Facing firm. Their bold approach to a changing future ensures that they nurture employees and recruit top talent.Our client is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal or Senior Paralegal to join the team. The role will focus on supporting our clients, both internally and externally, on a variety of real estate transactions which will also include working on transactions independently (with appropriate supervision) from inception to completion.Paralegal responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Managing a busy caseload of transactions, including liaising with the client to obtain instructions; Drafting and negotiating documents such as offers, leases, variations, dispositions, licences to occupy and other ancillary lease documentation; Dealing with sales and purchases, including plot sales and deeds of servitude; Reviewing and reporting on titles and dealing with ad hoc title queries from solicitors and clients; Managing completion and post-completion registrations, forms, filing and client signing / reporting requirements; Providing regular updates to clients on the progress of a matter; Providing ad hoc support on real estate projects; Assisting with file opening procedures, including preparing first drafts of retainer letters and ensuring compliance with money laundering regulations; Working with data rooms and online trackers; and Dealing with billing for your transactions. About you: We are looking for a Real Estate Paralegal or Senior Paralegal, with experience of working within a Real Estate legal environment. You will have a keen eye for detail with the ability to use your initiative whilst working on multiple tasks. You will have excellent organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines. You must be an enthusiastic individual with a strong academic background. Exceptional communication skills are also necessary, as is the ability to work well in a team.A degree in law or equivalent qualification is preferred, but not essential. Alternatively, you may be working towards CILEX qualification.
