Job Description - Reception and Events Host

We are recruiting for an Events Support Host to join our team of 16 Rapport Ambassadors at our client’s offices, located in Watford. Our client is a world leader in off-price apparel and home fashions. This is a dynamic team that works in an environment where no day is the same.

This is the ideal role for someone who has an incredible ability to spark immediate Rapport with the guests and clients. You will be an integral part of a highly professional team focused on delivering outstanding service and creating memorable experiences.  

This is full-time, permanent role (32 hours per week). The service hours are from Monday to Thursday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility as per client’s needs. The position holder will have access to our free car parking (if required).

Main responsibilities

  • Providing the highest level of client care and personal service to all stakeholders in the clients’ business, including visitors and associates
  • Supporting the Welcome Team, or Floor Host when required
  • Providing a natural, warm, courteous, and prompt welcome on arrival for all event visitors
  • Handling all incoming telephone calls and enquiries in a professional manner
  • Managing visitor queries and supplying relevant information
  • Assisting with collating monthly and ad-hoc reports on service usage, meeting room and reception statistics
  • Escalating technical faults to the Helpdesk
  • Managing meeting room bookings and ensuring meeting space is up to the highest standard with all necessary equipment required
  • Liaising with meeting hosts, fellow team members, and other service providers (e.g., catering team) to ensure the room set up requirements are met, including the moving of furniture in certain rooms if required
  • Applying a flexible approach and offering business support as required
  • Being engaged and proactive, constantly seeking opportunities to improve efficiencies and enhance the overall business environment
