Reception Class Teacher – Full Time | Fulwood

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Reception Class Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream Primary School in Fulwood on a full-time basis.

This is a 12-month commitment with full class responsibility, making it an excellent opportunity for either an ECT (Early Career Teacher) looking to develop their Early Years practice or a Fully Inducted Teacher with a passion for EYFS.

The Role

You will be responsible for a Reception class of 25 children who are eager to learn, with excellent additional support in place. You will work alongside:

A full-time Teaching Assistant based within your classroom
An additional Teaching Assistant who works across both Reception classes
A partner Reception Teacher, with opportunities to plan and work collaboratively
You will take full responsibility for the class, including planning, teaching, assessment and creating an engaging Early Years environment where children can develop academically, socially and emotionally.

Who We’re Looking For

We are specifically looking for an Early Years specialist who:

Has excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework
Has previous UK classroom teaching experience
Has a genuine passion for teaching and learning within Reception
Understands the importance of play, continuous provision and child-led learning
Can build positive and nurturing relationships with young children
Is confident working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
Can commit to the position full time for 12 months

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
